City offices, trash collection schedule for New Year’s Day
(VICTORIA, TEXAS) All non-emergency City offices, including the Victoria Public Library, will be closed on Tuesday, January 1 for New Year’s Day. The Library will also close at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31.

Extra Trash Collection the week following Christmas
The Solid Waste Dept. will accommodate customers with additional garbage from the holiday by offering extra trash collection beginning Wednesday, December 26 and continuing through December 31.
Residents are asked to put extra holiday trash in either sturdy plastic garbage bags or standard store bought trash cans no larger than 45 gallons by 7 a.m. on the regularly scheduled trash collection day.
Carts should be placed in front of the curb/gutter and/or street with the wheels/handle facing the residence. Cart lids must be completely closed. Carts must have at least 5 feet of clearance between all City-issued carts and any additional trash cans or other obstacles, including yard waste, mail boxes, extra trash bags or parked vehicles.
The Victoria County Landfill and the Compost Facility are closed on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
Christmas Tree Collection
Christmas trees will be collected as yard waste on the regularly scheduled yard waste day, beginning Jan. 7, 2019. Everything including stands, lights, ornaments and other decorations must be removed before the tree can be collected. Flocked trees (trees coated in artificial snow) and artificial trees will not be accepted as yard waste.
