City of Victoria to begin seal coat project in three subdivisions Monday
VICTORIA, Texas — Beginning on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, the City will begin the process of seal coating the streets in the Northcrest, Highland Estates and Lago Vista areas.
The process involves a seal coat followed by an application of ONYX, which improves the seal and reduces shelling of the rock. The contractor will vacuum broom the loose rock after the seal coat and prior to the ONYX application. Weather permitting, the process is expected to take four weeks.
Drivers can expect delays in the work zone and should use alternate routes to get around the work zone when possible. All businesses, residents and parking lots in the construction zone will remain accessible via alternate routes.
This construction is part of the $1,735,288.00 2018-19 Rehabilitation/Seal Coat Project. The contractor is Brannan Paving Co., LTD of Victoria, Texas.
