VICTORIA, Texas –  Mosquito season is here.

The City of Victoria Parks and Recreation continued spraying for mosquitos Wednesday morning.

According to the City, they expect to finish spraying the whole City by the end of the week, weather permitting.

For this round of rain, Parks and Recreation will spray the whole City a second time as well.

The Victoria County Public Health Department confirmed that their Environmental Division will continue to spray for mosquitos.

Due to recent weather conditions, they had to postpone treatments.

On Wednesday, the department applied larvicide in the county and sprayed certain areas as well.

“We will continue to spray as often as the chemical manufacturer and the weather allows us to,” said David Gonzales with the health department in an email. “We continue to ask for the public’s patience and understanding as we do everything we can to deal with this huge nuisance.”

This was all the information that was provided by city and county officials in regards to mosquito spraying.
