City of Seadrift issues voluntary evacuation ahead of Tropical Storm Beta

City of Seadrift suggests people evacuate and remove recreational vehicles immediately

SEADRIFT, Texas – Seadrift Mayor Elmer DeForest has issued a voluntary evacuation and removal of RV’s ahead of Tropical Storm Beta. The order was issued Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

City leaders warn emergency services will be curtailed once wind speeds exceed 45 mph. Leaders also warn city water services could be terminated to the entire city until it is safe to return to normal operations.
