City Council approves Phase II of LED lighting project

Victoria has partnered with AEP on a citywide LED lighting project

VICTORIA, Texas – The Victoria City Council approved Phase II of the citywide LED lighting project.

On Nov. 17, AEP street light technician John Velasquez turned on a new LED street light at Pine Street Park. Approximately 2,000 amber-colored HPS lights on Victoria’s southside have been replaced with bright, white LED lights through the City’s LED lighting project in partnership with AEP.

The City Council approved Phase II of the project, during which the lights on the north side will be replaced, as well. You can learn more about the lighting project here.
