Chris Seilkop resigns as CEO of the YMCA of the Golden Crescent

YMCA of the Golden Crescent announced today that Chris Seilkop has officially resigned from his 7 year post as CEO, effective December 14, 2018.

In his statement, Chris explained that he will be taking over as CEO of the Volusia Flagler YMCA
in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Under his guidance, the YMCA of the Golden Crescent has seen unprecedented growth with new
facilities in Port Lavaca and Victoria, opening of a new preschool and partnerships with the City
of Victoria, UHV, Victoria College, and the City of Edna.

The YMCA of the Golden Crescent is better positioned to have a greater impact on our community and future generations than at any time in our past.

Doug Vrazel, YMCA of the Golden Crescent Corporate Board Chair, stated, “On behalf of the
board of directors, we would like to thank Chris Seilkop for his 7 years of service to the YMCA of
the Golden Crescent. We greatly appreciate his leadership and wish him all the best in his
future endeavors”.

The Board of Directors is currently working to fill Chris’ position once he has departed.
