Celebrate first responders and health care workers at Texas Hero Fest

CUERO, Texas — Texas Hero Fest is this Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, at the Pavilion in Cuero City Park. The event is from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Texas Hero Fest is open to the public.

Eventgoers can expect to be entertained with a classic car show from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. and there will also be arts and crafts vendors.

Food will be available. First responders, health care workers, and their immediate families can eat for free. You must have your work credentials. The general public can purchase BBQ Plates for $10.

The event will wrap up with a Memorial Ceremony to honor fallen first responders, which will begin at 4:00 p.m.

If you are interested in competing in a charity BBQ cook-off, you can register today, Sept. 24, 2021, after 4:00 p.m. at Cuero City Park. Judging for the BBQ Cook-off will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021. For additional information on the BBQ Cook-off, contact Jeff Vonhaefen at 361-827-1102.
