Calhoun Highschool Football holds spring game

Spring football comes to an end at the end of the week for Calhoun football.

Our David Gibson, at Sandcrab Stadium for Crab nation’s annual spring football game.

First quarter action Sandcrabs big time running back Steve Johnson takes the hand off and barrells through defenders to push his way to a first down.

Next play Jarius Stewart takes the hand off to make a shifty move and take it all the way to the house to put the white team up 7-0.

Now the black team has the ball and Elijah Harvey takes the ball and muslces his way to a first down.

Later on the drive Kirk Stringham recieves the handoff and bounces it to the outside to take it all the way for a touchdown to tie the game at 7.

Second quarter Zach Ramirez makes a juke move and goes outside and runs a long touchdown to put the white team up 14-7.

At the spring game, David talked with Calhoun Football Head Coach Richard Whitaker.
“The biggest emphasis has been on secondary and offensive line. we feel like some of our lineman kids have really came around and they have had great offseasons. they are strong and they look good this spring, they got better everyday and hopefully they will continue to work this summer and we will come in this August ready to go,” adds Calhoun Football Head Coach Richard Whitaker.

Since Calhoun football had spring drills, the Sandcrabs will start pre-season practices August 12th.
