Calhoun High School football continues their workout

The Calhoun High School Sandcrabs are working out, preparing for the season that the UIL keeps pushing back. Either way the Sandcrabs and all Texas football teams are getting prepared for a season.

the 2019 Calhoun football district champions worked out in the weight room Tuesday morning but had to skip their skills workout due to the weather. Head coach Richard Whitaker is keeping their workout groups small to avoid having any problems

Calhoun High School has many returning players, including Steve Johnson, First Team All State with 1,986 yards and 26 TDs. However they’ll need to fill holes in their offensive line and linebackers.

“Skill wise we feel like were going to be pretty good this year. Our kids have worked hard and their ready to go just waiting on the UIL,” said Whitaker.

As of now, Calhoun football’s current pre-season game plan remains the same. The first day of pre-season practice for the Sandcrabs is August third.
