Calhoun County Deputy in Recovery After Being Struck by Vehicle
A Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputy is now recovering after being struck by a vehicle in Port O’Connor Saturday evening.
According to Sheriff Vickery, Deputy Miles Thompson was directing traffic during Warrior’s Weekend festivities around 9 p.m., when he was struck by a vehicle in front of the Port O’Connor Community Center.
Vickery says the deputy suffered a head injury and was life-flighted to Houston Memorial Herman Medical Center Saturday evening.
The deputy was treated and released at 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning, and is expected to make a full recovery.
The incident is still under investigation.
