Brutal Heat Continues; Rain Chances Tuesday and Wednesday?
Intense heat and humidity persist over most of Texas, including the Crossroads, this afternoon. Air temperatures from the middle 90s to lower 100s accompany stifling humidity to generate heat indices of between 105 and 112 this afternoon. Heat advisories are posted across the area, and are likely to be required again for Tuesday, as even higher levels of heat danger are anticipated. A weak cold front will enter the Crossroads late tomorrow afternoon, however, and initiate isolated showers and thunderstorms that will increase a bit overnight before ending on Wednesday. Only modest rainfall totals are expected, and the remainder of the week appears devoid of precipitation.
