Bowling Action Returns To Victoria
Century Lanes 50 Percent Capacity Friday
With the temperature rising outside, a popular Victoria sport has returned inside.
Bowling is back. Century Lanes closed on March 23 due to Governor Greg Abbott’s pandemic executive order. Now, Century Lanes is just a day away from going to 50 percent capacity. Right now at 25 percent, there are four lanes closed in between bowlers. Last Tuesday was the first league night for bowling. Century Lanes GM Mike Wortham tells us how many bowlers can fit in the center at 25 percent.
“Our capacity is 500 for the building. But probably right now about 120-140 would be what we could handle with the distancing.”
For the first time since March 23, the Rolling Thunder bowling league will return to action at Century Lanes tonight.
