Bootfest 2019 announces main stage lineup
VICTORIA, Texas — Bootfest, Victoria’s largest free festival, announced their Main Stage entertainment lineup on Friday, June 28.
Celebrating its ninth anniversary in 2019, Bootfest is recognized as one of the premiere music festivals in South Texas, seamlessly merging multiple music genres into a two-day, family-friendly event.
This year’s festival takes place in beautiful DeLeon Plaza in Downtown Victoria on October 4-5, 2019.
The festival kicks off on Friday, October 4 at 6PM.
For the second year in a row, the Bootfest Main Stage will feature rock acts with a focus on tribute acts of legendary rock groups. High Risk, a mainstay in the local 1990’s rock scene, is the first act out of the gate and will be performing a special reunion show for the Bootfest crowd.
Following them is Desperado, a Dallas/Fort Worth-based tribute to The Eagles. Next up, another Dallas tribute act, Blaze of Glory, brings their outstanding tribute to the legendary Bon Jovi. Headlining Friday night are The Atomic Punks from Los Angeles, CA.
They are regarded by many as one of the country’s greatest Van Halen tributes!
On Saturday night, October 5, Bootfest continues its tradition of presenting great country music acts. Talented local singer-songwriter Jade Marie Patek kicks off the Bootfest Main Stage.
Texas country music up-and-comers Mike & The Moonpies follow with their timeless traditional country sound. Kyle Park, who has long been a top act of the Texas country music scene, will play his biggest hits for the crowd.
Last but certainly not least is Saturday night and festival headliner Wade Bowen, whose nearly 20-year career in the Texas country music scene has developed a legion of loyal followers.
“Our entertainment lineup truly reflects Victoria’s diverse taste in music” said Joel Novosad, Director of the City of Victoria’s Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Bootfest is a community festival, and the fact that admission is free only strengthens that. We want to provide a fun, safe experience for all Victoria residents and visitors” he added.
Established in 2011, Bootfest has featured some of the top names in the Texas country music scene. Pat Green, Kevin Fowler, and Casey Donahew are just a few of the acclaimed entertainers who have graced the Bootfest stage.
Great live music isn’t the only aspect of Bootfest; other activities include a large Kids’ Corral, western crafters and performers, a car, truck, & motorcycle show, dozens of great food and merchandise vendors, and more. Be sure to visit Bootfest.org for more festival information.
