CROSSROADS, Texas – This article is being updated in real time.

Millions of Texans are without power in their households due to weather.

Several areas in the Crossroads are warning their residents of a boil water notice.

The City of Port Lavaca issued a boil water notice Wednesday due to reduced distribution system pressure caused by extreme water demand.

On social media, the City confirmed that the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the City of Port Lavaca public water system to notify their customers to boil their water prior to consumption.

When it is no longer necessary to boil water, the public water system officials will update the community, the City said.
