MATAGORDA, Texas – The body of the 24-year-old man who was missing after a boat struck an object Saturday near Matagorda has been found, according to Texas EquuSearch.

The team continued their search Monday after a boat struck an object in the Colorado River.

25 News Now spoke to founder and director of Texas EquuSearch Tim Miller.

Miller shared that Langley’s uncle and aunt are members of the team going on 17 years with the Texas EquuSearch.

He shared that no matter how many search and recovery efforts he has been a part of, it never gets easy.

Land and water rescue efforts can differ, Miller said.

“The colder the water is ..the more difficult … the longer they’ll stay down before they float,” said Miller.

There are rip currents and weather conditions to think about while search efforts are underway.

Miller shared Langley is remembered as, “one of the good ones.”
