Bluebonnet Youth Ranch Golf Tournament begins Sunday
The 38th Annual Bluebonnet Youth Ranch Golf Tournament began Sunday, with players and celebrities from all over the country coming to Victoria to benefit the local organization.
The event, which is being held at Victoria Country Club for the 19th straight year and began with a Celebrity-Am, benefits at-need children at the Yoakum-based youth ranch.
“It’s fabulous,” former PGA tour golfer Terry Dill said of the event. “We’re having a great time and it’s for a great cause.”
The first place team at Sunday’s Celebrity-Am was that of James Brown, Brian Ezzell, Roger Atkinson, Donald MacAfee, and Butch Woolfork. On the par-3 15th hole, Ezzell earned just the second hole-in-one in the tournament’s 38 year history.
Play will continue at Victoria Country Club on Monday.
