Bluebonnet Youth Ranch does well on live auction
Ranch surpassed fundraising goal
YOAKUM, Texas—This year’s Bluebonnet Youth Ranch raffle and silent auction surpassed the Ranch’s goal of raising $100,000.
Bluebonnet Youth Ranch development director Micah Roth told me that 110 people signed up to bid on live auction items, and they bid between 6-10 times on each item. Roth said the average number of bids per item was 11, and that those bids raised the worth of each item by 264%. The most bid-on item in the live auction, tickets for four people to any concert at next year’s RodeoHouston, with the exception of the George Strait concert. Next hottest auction items, the casino trip to Biloxi, Mississippi and the Earl Campbell autographed Oilers jersey.
