Bloomington Trash Fire Damages 7 acres

Fire officials say that a fire that started out as a trash fire became so much more in Bloomington near Serene Drive West.
Fire officials say 6 to 7 acres were burned but no homes were lost and no injuries. They say dry humidity, high grass and strong winds caused the fire to get bigger and bigger.
Victoria County firefighters and several other county agencies were fighting the fire around 12:30 p.m. and were able to put the fire out at 3:30 p.m.

If you’re in county Victoria Fire Marshall says to refrain from burning and if you need to burn 30 to 50 feet away from your home and watch your burning closely.
