Bloomington basketball ends 15-year playoff drought

Bloomington boys basketball has accomplished something that hasn’t happened in over a decade. The Bobcats are headed to the 3A basketball playoffs for the first time in 15 years.

The Bloomington boys are 16-18 overall this season. They went 3-7 in district to clinch 4th place and a playoff berth.

The accomplishment has happened under first-year head coach Jameson Grasshoff. Grasshoff is from Hallettsville and coached the Bloomington JV team last year. He took over the varsity program this year in just his second year coaching overall.

On Monday, the Bobcats will take on San Diego in the bi-district round in Beeville.
