Born and raised in the Beaumont-Port Arthur area, my interest in weather started at an early age with an home weather station during my jr high and high school years, doing radio weather in Beaumont, and then pursuing a degree in Broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State and also a degree in geographic information systems from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. While in Mobile, I worked on the NOAA funded project to construct mesonet weather stations throughout the central Gulf coast to study hurricane landfall research. My hobbies include pencil drawing and sketching, oil painting, traveling, church, and spending time with friends and family. I am thrilled to have the great opportunity to be a part of the newscenter25 news team.
