Jennifer Lynn Flores, daughter of Jesse Flores Sr. and Margaret Vargas (Tim Osterloh), was born in Cuero, Texas and raised in Yorktown, Texas. The 26-year-old graduated from Yorktown High School in May 2013.
Jennifer was accepted to the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) and received the Dean’s Scholarship. She studied Communication Arts with a concentration in Convergent Media for five years and received her Advanced Bachelors to Masters (ABM) Degree in May 2018. While in college, Jennifer created forever friendships with several colleagues and has maintained one of her biggest supporters, a UIW Communications Professor Michael L. Mercer. Mr. Mercer has believed in Jennifer since before her first semester at UIW, and he remains one of her biggest fans.
Jennifer has two older brothers, Nicholas Flores and Jesse Flores Jr, and adores her seven nieces and nephews, Davin Flores, Ivan Flores, Brodie Flores, Cayson Flores, Ayden Flores, Laryn Flores and Larsyn Flores. She is loved by her two grandmothers, Guadalupe Ochoa and Juanita “Janie” Vargas.
Throughout her years after college, Jennifer had the privilege of working as a Cashier/Customer Service Representative for Dillard’s at North Star Mall in San Antonio, Texas. From there, she went on to be a Special Education Assistant for Clear Spring Elementary School at NEISD. She was soon blessed with an opportunity to work as a Reporter/Photographer for The Cuero Record and Yorktown News-View, where she learned many skills and practices of being a professional writer.
Jennifer finds comfort at home, with her sassy kitty-cat Yoshi Bear, who she adopted from the San Antonio Humane Society back in 2016. Jennifer loves to write, edit and produce creative work for people to read, watch or both. She’s a loving person, who wants to share her talents and skills with the world and looks forward to the future’s endless possibilities.
