Carolina joined the Victoria Television Group in October of 2019.
She moved to Victoria from her hometown of Humble, Texas in 2012 to work as the Education Reporter for the Victoria Advocate. Carolina won 1st place in Investigative In-Depth Reporting for her coverage of the achievement gap within the Victoria school district in 2014. She also worked as the Digital Editor for the newspaper during Hurricane Harvey and designed an award-winning digital landing page and spearheaded digital and social media operations for the print media organization.
She worked as a social media consultant/editor for To Do Victoria, an events calendar and blog from 2018 to 2019.
Carolina has been a Victoria Business and Education Coalition volunteer since 2013, helping first and second grade students with their reading and writing skills at Hopkins Elementary School. She has also served as a volunteer and board member for the Victoria Bach Festival since 2016; co-founded the Victoria Film Society in 2015. Carolina has also served as volunteer coach at the MU J-School HS Workshop since 2017.
On her free time she enjoys DJ’ing parties, walking her dog Spartacus and listening to records.
