Big 12 announces schedule for 2020 football season

Schools will have to adhere to safety guidines

VICTORIA, Texas – The Big-12 conference will play sports this fall.    That news came Wednesday as the conference released it’s football schedule.

All schools currently have nine in-conference games scheduled, and an open date for a 10th game from an opponent outside of the Big-12.

Commissioner Bob Bowlsby said in a conference call they are as prepared as they can be at this time

“What we’ve heard from our student-athletes is they would like to play. But they want to make sure it’s safe.”

All schools will have to adhere to strict testing and safely protocols moving forward, and that any positive coronavirus test has to be carefully managed.

The Big-12 season will kick off on September 26th with a conference championship game planned for December 12th.

Both the Big-10 and the Pac-12 conferences announced yesterday that their fall sports schedules would be postponed.
