Bay City Police arrest man for suspected meth

Two Bay City Police Officers found two people unresponsive Sunday morning leading to an arrest.

Just before 10:00 a.m. the officers performed a consensual search after waking the two occupants in the vehicle, and found 11 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

The officers also located a glass pipe, assorted pills, and a locked box inside the vehicle.

During the investigation officers were able to gain access to the contents of the box, and inside the box was more suspected meth and pills believed to be ecstasy as well as marijuana and a digital scale.

Austin Lawrence Watson of Normangee claimed ownership of all illegal items inside the vehicle.

He was arrested for possession and manufacture delivery.

He was booked into Matagorda County Jail, and the second suspect was released without charges.
