Bay City Drunk Driver Crashes into Four Cars

A drunk driver crashed into a metal fence and hit four cars in Bay City early Sunday morning.

On Sunday morning, Officer Matthew Tilley observed a black GMC Pickup speeding and running a stop sign.

The driver proceeds to crash through a metal fence and hit four parked cars.

Officer Tilley was able to detain the driver of the vehicle who was identified as 32-year-old Richard Carrera Jr.

During his investigation, Officer Tilley was able to determine Carrera was under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

A small bag of marijuana was in Carrera’s possession. Carrera was transported to the Matagorda County Jail where an interview was conducted for the investigation of driving while intoxicated.

He was booked into the jail on charges of Driving While Intoxicated – Open Container and Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces.
