Barr becomes the new principal of O’Connor ACE Elementary
Barr holds nearly two decades of educational experience in the classroom
VICTORIA, Texas – The Victoria I.S.D. Board of Trustees announce Ericka Barr as the new principal of O’Connor ACE Elementary School.
At the Special Called Board Meeting held on Thursday, June 2, the Victoria I.S.D. Board of Trustees appointed Ericka Barr as the new principal of O’Connor ACE Elementary for the 2022-23 school year.
Barr has nearly twenty years of educational experience in the classroom, district elementary coordinator and as a campus administrator. Recently, she served as the assistant principal of O’Connor ACE Elementary.
Barr earned an Associate of Arts degree from Victoria College. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Supervision from the University of Houston-Victoria, respectively.
Barr will replace Dionne Hughes. V.I.S.D. appointed Hughes as the P-TECH/T-STEM Program Administrator.
Barr’s primary duties will include:
- directing and managing instruction programs and supervising operations at a campus level,
- providing leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service,
- overseeing compliance with district policies,
- the success of instructional programs and
- operating all campus activities.
