VICTORIA, Texas – The Baptist Temple Church of Victoria partnered with the Tri-City Empowerment Council, the Farmers to Families Food Box program and other area churches for a big food distribution event.

The event is set for tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or until all the food is given out.

The group will give out nearly 1,500 free boxes of meat, dairy and produce in the back parking lot of Baptist Temple Church at 1804 North Laurent street in Victoria.

This is the first food distribution coordinated by the Baptist Temple Church.

The tri-city empowerment council has held several distributions in neighboring cities such as Cuero, Yoakum and El Campo.

“Most importantly we can let people know that we’re here and we want to help them the best we can, this was a way we can do that without investing a whole lot of money but a lot of time and energy into it,” says Pastor Jeremy Prichard

The distribution is on a first-come, first-serve basis. anyone is welcomed to come out.
