Average gas price hits a new record high at $4.60

Prices are on the rise throughout the Crossroads region

VICTORIA, Texas – On Tuesday, Triple A reports the average gas price in Texas is now $4.60 a gallon.

In the Crossroads, Goliad County has the lowest average gas price in the six-county region at $4.49 a gallon. This amount is two cents higher than Monday’s price. Currently, there are no counties in the area below $4.40 a gallon.

Lavaca County has the highest average gas price in the region at $4.60 per gallon. This amount is one penny more than Monday’s price.

Since Monday, average gas prices in Calhoun County have increased by four cents. The average gas price now is $4.51 a gallon. Jackson County’s average gas price is now $4.58 cents, three cents more since Monday.

DeWitt County’s average gas price is now two cents higher from Monday at $4.52 a gallon.

Victoria County’s average gas price

The average gas price in Victoria County is now $4.51 a gallon. This increase breaks the record set on Monday. Average gas prices in Victoria County have jumped 30 cents a gallon since last Thursday. They are up by 88 cents a gallon since April 28.

The record gas price before the recent surge was $4.01. This price was set in July 2008.
