Attempted robbery took place at a Cuero liquor store

Cuero police officers developed a possible person-of-interest

CUERO, Texas – On Wednesday, July 13, at approximately 8:38 p.m., a Black male entered Ranch House Spirits and Drinks, located in the 200 block of E. Broadway St. in Cuero, Texas.

The suspect was dressed in a black shirt, black hoodie, black shoes and white shorts. He revealed a semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash from the clerk. The clerk successfully fended off the suspect and fled the store. The suspect also fled the location in the opposite direction.

Cuero Police Department officers responded to the scene. The first officer arrived approximately three minutes after dispatch. Officers began a search of the area for the suspect. They failed to locate the suspect at that time.

On Thursday, July 14, Cuero Police Officers developed a possible person-of-interest in relation to the attempted robbery, with the help of local residents. As of Thursday, at 1:55 p.m., charges have not been filed.
