Astros organization plan to visit Uvalde

UVALDE, Texas — The Houston Astros and Astros foundation are going to visit to the town of Uvalde on Friday.

The goal of this event is to show support, bring joy to the community and help heal through baseball, after the mass shooting that killed 19 students and two teachers.

Starting at 11:00 a.m. and continuing through 1:00 p.m. The Astros Foundation is planning multiple events including an ice cream give away at H-E-B, a baseball game and a visit to the Uvalde hospital. Although none of the players will be in attendance, the Astros mascot, Orbit, will be there.
