Area schools to host first day of football practices on Monday

With the start of high school football seasons just a few weeks away, multiple schools in the Crossroads will host their first official practices of the season on Monday.

The defending 4A-Division II State Champion Cuero Gobblers will hold their first practice of the year early Monday morning, as will the Edna Cowboys and their new head coach, Richard Draper.

On Monday afternoon, Goliad, Yoakum, and St. Joe will all host their first practices of the season. Newscenter 25 Sports will be live at Flyers football practice, and will have coverage of all the stories from day one on Monday.
