Area River Flood Warnings
Warnings for Victoria, Calhoun, DeWitt and Goliad Counties
VICTORIA, Texas—The flood warning continues for the Guadalupe River at Victoria until Thursday morning.
At 7:15 tonight the Guadalupe was at 29.89 feet. Flood stage is 21 feet. The Guadalupe is expected to rise in Victoria to a crest of 29.9 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Wednesday afternoon. At 29.8 feet, water may flood houses at the west end of Convent Street near Victoria Street. The lowest homes in the Greens Addition subdivision, the city park, much of the Riverside Golf Course, including the golf cart sheds, and the Texas Zoo will flood.
The flood warning for the Guadalupe near Bloomington is until further notice. At 7:00 tonight the stage was 26.97 feet. Flood stage is 20 feet. Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. The river will have a slow crest near 27.2 feet from late Tuesday morning through late Wednesday morning. A slow fall will develop by Wednesday afternoon, dropping below flood stage Friday morning. That also affects Calhoun county. The San Antonio River flood warnings also affect Victoria and Calhoun counties.
The river flood warning for the Guadalupe near Cuero continues until early Wednesday morning. At 6:30 tonight the Guadalupe there was at 31.7 feet. Flood stage is 24 feet. The river is expected to fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon in Cuero. The flood warning continues for the San Antonio River at Goliad until tomorrow evening. At 7:00 tonight the river was at 27.9 feet. Flood stage is 25.0. The San Antonio River at Goliad will fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning.
