Area H.S. Basketball Teams Make TABC State Polls

STJ, Faith Academy, Yorktown Teams Ranked

Four Victoria high school private school teams make the Texas Association Of Basketball Coaches state polls Monday.
St. Joe girls basketball, ranked eighth in the TAPPS 5A state poll. The Lady Flyers improved their record to 18-5 by winning last Friday night at Skidmore-Tynan. The St. Joe boys, ranked seventh in their TAPPS 5A state poll.

Both Faith Academy basketball teams make the TABC TAPPS 2A state polls. The Cougars are ranked ninth after winning Friday night at San Marcos Hill Country, 107-39. Ranked right ahead of the Faith boys, Shiner St. Paul, the team visiting Faith Tuesday night to open district action. The eighth ranked Faith Academy girls host the fourth ranked St. Paul Lady Cardinals in their district opener Tuesday night.

The Yorktown boys are 20th in the state 2A poll.  In the girls rankings, El Campo is 18th in 4A, Yorktown is 23rd in 2A.
