Area Businessman Set For Busy Weekend Of Racing

Keating To Race Twice At Daytona

This is a big weekend for an area car dealer.

Ben Keating looks forward to having twice the fun when he returns to Daytona for the Rolex 24 Hours Of Daytona. Keating will be racing in two categories, GT Daytona and Le Mans Prototype 2. He won the pole for that race. Keating feels he can finish up his minimum drive time, which is four and a half hours in each car for nine hours total, in 18 hours. This weekend marks the fifth time Keating will be running two different cars in the event, and the second time running in two different classes. Keating has made the GTD podium three straight years. In 2015, he won GTD in a Riley Motorsports Dodge Viper, and finished third with that team in both 2016, driving a Viper, and 2017, driving a Mercedes. The 24 Hours Of Daytona starts Saturday.
