American Legion hosts a Trunk or Treat

On Halloween night, things got a little spooky at American Legion post 166. This is the third year the post has hosted a trunk or treat, to provide a safe environment for kids to trick or treat in.

“Some years back, I dedicated my life, what’s left of it, to helping veterans and helping the young in this community. And thank god we have charitable bingo, we do that at palace bingo, and the money from bingo is what buys all the candy and makes this possible for the kids,” Will Martin, Post Commander says.

The post has seen hundreds of kids in past years, and hopes to grow that number this year.
