After Lower Humidity Today, Sultry Conditions Return Rest of Week. Where is the Rain?

Yesterday’s cold front didn’t reduce temperatures but did sweep humidity away a bit, if only for an afternoon. Heat indices are “only” 100 to 105 this afternoon, but the moisture returns the second half of the week and through the weekend. By early next week, another cold front makes its way into the Crossroads and brings isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. The best chance of rain will be on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the tropical Atlantic Basin remains pleasantly quiet.
