9-year-old gets town to lift ban on snowball fights
SEVERANCE, Colo. (KMGH) — A Colorado 9-year-old got his town to lift its ban on snowball fights.
The Greeley Tribune reported that Dane Best stood up to the Severance town board and explained why boys and girls should able to take part in the classic winter activity.
Members peppered Dane with questions and asked him about safety issues.
His three-minute presentation did the trick and the ban was lifted.
He even had the honor of throwing the first legal snowball.
The snowball fight ban was part of a larger ordinance that halted people from throwing stones and other objects.
