43-year-old man dies from fatal gunshot wound
Victoria Police Department officers are investigating the murder
UPDATE: Two suspects were taken into custody by the Victoria Police Department officers and detectives. U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force assisted police.
VICTORIA, Texas – A 43-year-old man died from a fatal gunshot wound after being found by officers Tuesday evening.
Victoria Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in a home in the 100 block of Virginia Avenue. Before officers arrived, they were informed that someone involved in the altercation had been shot and the offender had already left the location.
The police department has not released the name of the victim but a family representative confirmed the identity of the victim as Rudy Cantu
Cantu was found lying in the roadway by officers before he was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injury.
The investigation is ongoing and the incident is believed to be an isolated incident.
No arrests have been made at this time.
