30th annual Bridal Showcase helps local brides plan for the big day

VICTORIA, Texas–On Sunday the Victoria Community Center hosted the 30th annual bridal showcase. The Pilot Club of Victoria Texas started this event to help all future brides plan their dream wedding. The showcase takes place every January to help give brides a head start.

“We have a lot of brides that come one year when they’re just getting engaged and then they come the next year to really plan so some of them we see twice,” said Kim Phillips, Pilot Club of Victoria Texas District member.

The venue was filled with many brides to be; some who were joined by their families. There were different cake vendors, wedding dresses, photography, catering, event planners and a lot more including this year’s addition of tailors. Brides look for good prices and get ideas of what they want for their wedding. They also are able get more information about the vendors as well as make a booking for their wedding date.

“I’m looking for reasonable prices. I mean it’s Victoria so I know there are so many things that can be offered here in a small town. I mean I’m all new to this, but so far what I’m seeing it’s really great with so many options to choose from,” said future bride, Marissa Sanchez.

The bridal showcase makes it easier for brides to access all of their wedding planning needs in one place.
