3 taken to hospital after car crash on Mistletoe

Victoria Police believe intoxication played a factor in a vehicle crash Wednesday morning.

Victoria police responded to a car crash at the intersection of Sam Houston Drive and Mistletoe Avenue at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday

A white 2015 Toyota Corolla driven by Nicholas Salazar, 20, from Victoria, was traveling north on Sam Houston Drive. A blue 2004 Dodge Neon operated by Amber Sanders, 36, of Victoria, was traveling south on Sam Houston Drive and was turning east onto Mistletoe Avenue when it was struck by the Corolla.

Salazar was taken to an out of the area hospital due to non-life threatening injuries sustained in the crash. Sanders was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A passenger in the Corolla, Hector Hernandez, 25, of Victoria, was also taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Intoxication is believed to have played a factor in the crash. At this time, no citations have been issued nor any arrests; however, this is an ongoing investigation.
