VICTORIA, Texas—The Victoria County Public Health Department said there are 24 new COVID-19 cases recorded on Friday.
186 active cases

The state reports 231 people in Victoria County have died from this disease.
The Victoria six-county region now has a COVID-19 hospitalization rate of 6.23%. One year ago, the Victoria region hospitalization rate was 32.92%.
The Victoria County Public Health Department will be hosting a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine clinic August 5 from 9AM – 3PM at the Dr. Pattie Dodson Public Health Center at 2805 North Navarro. They are partnering with the Texas Military Department to provide vaccinations to everyone ages 12 and up. Victoria County Public Health Department director David Gonzales told me it will most likely be a drive through clinic in the parking lot.
63 people got the Pfizer vaccine at the last Victoria County vaccine clinic last Thursday. Gonzales said the reason for that clinic was for parents to bring in their kids for their first dose before school starts. Gonzales said this will be a first and second dose clinic.
