Synopsis: After some rain, clouds, fog and wind earlier in the week, the sun will start to shine as temperatures heat up in South Texas. Expect above average temperatures through the long-term period, with gradually warmer temperatures regardless of the fronts pushing through that could trigger a rain shower or two by Friday night.  High temperatures will range from the upper 80’s to the low 90’s on Thursday through Tuesday. Western areas away from the water could reach the 100-degree mark during the middle of the week.  Low temperatures stay in the mid to upper 60’s with a great deal of sunshine during the daytime.  The mention of some thunderstorms on Friday night means a front could move through during that time period with the potential to drop temperatures by 4 to 5 degrees.  This is days away so we will continue to iron out the details.
