Gymagic Girls Go To Russia

Posted: Updated:

Two Victoria Gymagic girls, starting their thanksgiving vacation early, and they are doing it far away from home.
Brooke Warzecha and Krista McNary, competing in the World Age Group Games in St. Petersburg, Russia. They will both compete in the youth elite 13-14 year old age group. Both girls competed last year in the World Age Group Games in Sofia, Bulgaria. Last year, McNary took fourth on double mini, 16th on trampoline and on synchronized trampoline, while Warzecha placed 12th in synchro. Both girls told me they are stronger physically, and mentally, than they were a year ago. I talked with them about worlds, along with Gymagic head coach Cindy Seerden. Said McNary "The competition is from all around the world. The atmosphere is fun and it's exciting and your adrenalin is just pumping. It's amazing." Said Warzecha, "I am glad I got a bunch of experience. I remember all the fun times I had. I met new people from different countries. I had so much fun and I gained so much experience and really had the time of my life over there. " Said coach Seerden, "It's really cool that they're going a second year in a row. They get to go with experience this time. They also have their guns loaded. They have never jumped higher and they have never done the degree of difficulty that they've done this time. They look so good and they are so well-prepared. I'm hoping that the experience helps settle them down just a little bit so they can really perform.'
This is the sixth time Victoria Gymagic has had competitors qualify to compete in the World Age Group Games.
