City of Victoria closings for Veterans Day observance

(VICTORIA, TEXAS) All non-emergency offices at the City of Victoria will close Monday, November 12, 2018 to observe Veterans Day.

Automated garbage, curbside recycling, yard waste and/or tree limbs will be collected Monday.

    A death row inmate who was part of the notorious "Texas 7" gang of escaped prisoners has received an execution date for late this summer. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice says they've received documents setting 45-year-old Joseph Garcia for lethal injection August 30th. On Christmas Eve 2000, Garcia and six co-defendants fatally shot a 31-year-old police officer while on escape from the Connally Unit. To learn more click here.
