UHV Baseball Releases 2019 Schedule

The University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars baseball team will start the 2019 season with home-field advantage playing 20 of their first 29 games in the confines of Riverside Stadium.


The Jaguars released their schedule today know they have to have success early before playing the second half of the season on the road. The Jaguars will hit the road for 20 of their final 24 games.


The Jaguars will again face a tough non-conference schedule with games against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Prairie View A&M, Texas A&M-International, Texas A&M-Kingsville, St. Mary's and St. Edward's, all NCAA division schools, as well as NAIA schools Sterling College and Wayland Baptist.


UHV will open the season with an 11-game homestand starting with a pair of seven-inning doubleheaders against Sterling College on Feb. 1 and 2. The Jaguars then host St. Mary's on Feb. 5 in a single game and Wayland Baptist in a three-game series on Feb. 7-8.


The homestand wraps up on Feb. 14 and 15 with a three-game series against Texas A&M-International.


The Jaguars then hit the road for a doubleheader against Texas A&M-International on Feb. 20, before returning home to open conference play against Wiley College on March 1-2.


Other home games for the Jaguars include A&M-Kingsville (March 13), A&M-Corpus Christi (March 20), Jarvis Christian (March 22-23), St. Edward's (April 16) and Our Lady of the Lake (April 26-27).


The Jaguars will visit Huston-Tillotson (March 8-9), LSU-Shreveport (March 15-16), Sr. Edward's (March 26), University of the Southwest (March 29-20), Prairie View A&M (April 3), Texas College (April 5-6), A&M-Corpus Christi (April 9), LSU-Alexandria (April 12-13), Texas A&M-Texarkana (April 19-20) and St. Mary's (April 23).


The Red River Athletic Conference is scheduled for May 3-6 at LSU-Shreveport.
