Cuero Regional Hospital hosts drive-thru flu shot event

Posted: Updated:

The Cuero Regional Hospital is holding a free drive through flu shot clinic.

They held  this event because they want to help protect the community.

Last year was a pretty big flu season and Cuero Regional Hospital want to prevent that from happening again this year.

All you have to do is drive up and fill out a waiver form and then BAM you're done and get a shot.

CEO Lynn Falcone adds having a flu shot reduces the symptoms if you do catch the flu.

"This is a way to encourage our community to help take care of themselves and it is at no cost so its good for all members of our community," falcone said.

If you missed this event Tuesday don't worry they will have another one Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.

Marketing Director Emily Weatherly says nearly one hundred people got their shots Tuesday so supplies for the standard shot are limited.

There are still plenty of Flublok shots for those 65 and older.

Newscenter 25's David Gibson got his flu shot...make sure to get yours so you're protected too.
