Four Area Teams In AP State High School Football Polls

Four area teams remain in the latest AP state high school football polls released Monday. Cuero moves up one spot to number five in the 4A poll. The Gobblers, coming off a bye week, start district play Friday night at Bandera. Goliad remains at number six in the 3A poll after its bye week. The Tigers start district play Friday night at Luling. Yoakum is in 12th place in the 3A rankings.  Shiner, dropping two spots to number four in the state 2A poll. The Comanches lost last Friday night at Lexington and now start district play this Friday night at Yorktown. Refugio, also on a bye week last week, moving up one spot to number nine. The Bobcats start district play Friday night at Kaufer.
