A cold front sweeping across the State will bring showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, continuing tonight and on through the weekend as an overrunning pattern sets up. Look for daytime temperatures to hold in the 80s, and rainfall totals to be significant. In fact, two- to three inch-totals will not be uncommon through the weekend. The rainfall opportunity will be bolstered by deep tropical moisture originating in the Eastern Pacific Ocean and expelled from Hurricane Rosa. The pattern will weaken early next week as an upper ridge rebuilds over the area.
