Missing Baytown officer found dead in field near his home

BAYTOWN, Texas - Update:

It is with a heavy heart that I have to deliver this news. We discovered Officer Stewart Beasley this morning deceased near his home in Chambers County. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and the hundreds of people that knew and loved Officer Beasley. I will put out more details on final arrangements as they become available. The search for a missing Baytown police officer continued Monday, and authorities said they believe he is still alive.

Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne said John Beasley, 46, is believed to have walked out of the back of his home in the 1800 block of Parker Place Drive in the Plantation Subdivision in the Cove on Thursday.
