Victoria - The City of Victoria's Facebook page has a new URL address:  https://www.facebook.com/CityofVictoriaTexasIt is still the same Facebook page, just a new address. If you had a bookmark in your browser for the previous URL (https://www.facebook.com/cityof.victoria.5), that address is no longer functioning. Please check your bookmarks and posted links, delete the old address, and replace it with the new URL.

       AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Jurors have convicted a man in the 2016 death of a student who was sexually assaulted strangled on the University of Texas campus.    Twenty-year-old Meechaiel Criner was found guilty of capital murder Friday in the death of 18-year-old Haruka Weiser.       DALLAS (AP) - The driver of an SUV that struck and killed a Dallas police officer on a motorcycle has been arrested.  Authorities say 32-year Dallas Police Department veteran Senior Cpl. Earl Jamie Givens was killed by a suspected drunken driver Saturday while accompanying the funeral escort of another Dallas officer.
